Many parents have written in about the "correct" gold color for shirts in the NHS cluster. Mr. Snell,
the principal at NHS, states that the official gold preferred for the NHS cluster is called Vegas
Gold.
Many people think that NHS gold is the color gold such as the Washington
Redskins wear, but the gold currently being used by NHS is a much more muted, light gold (it is the color of the Navy football
team). While monitors differ, to the right is an attempt to show the color difference between Vegas gold (top) and Redskin
gold (bottom). Please keep in mind that when used in fabric the colors vary a bit more.
Principals
in the NHS clluster have been asked to be a bit flexible with light yellow to vegas gold shirts during the first year of this
transition to uniforms until local stores can stock the "perfect" color. (Diva note: Step-in-Style has a new
shipment of true Vegas Gold shirts - made just for our school system)
